Lacrosse balls for trigger point massage are an excellent way to loosen up tight muscles. They are great for getting into those areas that a foam roller cannot reach. This tool is very easy to use - simply find the spot that is giving you pain and work the ball into the surrounding muscle whilst rolling against a wall to reach your back and shoulders, or rolling against the floor for those tight spots in your back, calves, glutes, hamstrings etc..
Very portable, very versatile, and very in-expensive.
